Canterbury Hill, Calais Hill and Wood Hill in the District of Canterbury - Amendment 4: Speed limit order
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this made Order will be to reduce the 40mph speed limit to 30mph on the following lengths of roads in Tyler Hill area, Canterbury:
- Calais Hill - from its existing 30mph speed limit to its junction with Canterbury Hill.
- Canterbury Hill – from its junction with Calais Hill and Wood Hill in a southerly direction to join the existing 30mph speed limit.
- Wood Hill – from its existing 30mph speed limit to its junction with Canterbury Hill.
This order has been made for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
