Bridge Road and The Long Barrow, Ashford in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 11: Waiting Restrictions

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 15 & 18 but due to the new consolidation order for Ashford and the change to map based orders it has been renumbered as Amendment 11.

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in the Borough of Ashford:

  • Bridge Road – (1) on the northwestern side extend the existing lines to the junction of the new drive-thru restaurant and then continuing for a distance of 13 metres in a south westerly direction to meet up with the existing SYL (2) on the southeastern side extend the existing lines by 35 metres in a south westerly direction
  • The Long Barrow – (1) on the north east side to remove the lines across the entrance to the new development site (2) on the south east side from a point opposite and in line with the south boundary of Kingston House for a distance of 72 metres in a south westerly direction to join up with both sets of existing double yellow lines.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road of for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
