The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Sittingbourne, Swale:-
Bell Road - (1) On the east side from a point 30 metres north of its junction and opposite with The Mews for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the west side 7 metres from its junction with The Mews remove the 13 metres of Single lines and place a Bus Stand with No Stopping At Any Time except for buses for a distance of 46 metres in a northerly direction. (3) On its west side from a point 37 metres south of its junction with Avenue of Remembrance place a Bus Stand with No Stopping Mon-Fri 2pm-3.30pm except buses for a distance of 84 metres in a southerly direction.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
