Bath Street, Gravesend in the Borough of Gravesham - Amendment 17: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce a no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Gravesend, Gravesham:-

  • Bath Street – (1) on the east side place remove DYL and replace with an 18 metre Taxi Bay 5 metres from its junction with Church Street (2) on the east side place a Taxi Bay from a point 13 metres south of its junction with Clifton Road for a distance of 41 metres in a southerly direction (3) on both sides move the crossing point to its northern junction with Clifton Road (4) on the west side replace DYLs and loading restrictions where the crossing zig zags have been removed (5) on the east side move the Taxi Bay to a point in line with the northern rear entrance to St Georges Court for a distance of 43 metres and place DYLs where the bay has been removed (6) on the east side reduce the existing Taxi Bay by 15 metres and replace with a new crossing point
  • New Road – on the north side at its eastern junction with Bath Street reduce the length of the Taxi Bay to 24 metres and place DYL on the remaining reduction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
