Baker Lane, Tonbridge in the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling - Amendment 3: Waiting Restrictions
The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions, double yellow lines – no waiting at any time on the following length of roads in Tonbridge, Tonbridge & Malling:-
Baker Lane – (1) on its west side join up the current restrictions 13 metres from its junction with Five Oak Green Road for a distance of 55 metres in a north westerly direction (2) on its east side join up the current restrictions 17 metres from its junction with Five Oak Green Road to the school entrance (3) on its east side from a point 1 metre south of its junction with Hops Close to the school entrance
Hops Close - on its south side from at its junction with Baker Lane for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
to avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
