A26 London Road, in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells - Amendment 2: Traffic Movements

The effect of this Order would be to place a Bus Lane/Gate Order to allow buses only on the following section of road A26 London Road in Tunbridge Wells – on its north west side 14 metres north east of its junction with Castle Road for a distance of 85 metres in a north easterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
