A225 Shoreham Road, Shoreham in Sevenoaks - Amendment 6: Speed limit order

The effect of this made Order will be to reduce the current speed limit to 40mph on the A225 Shoreham from a point 175 meters north of its junction with Station Road and joining up with the existing 30mph speed limit which is south of the junction with Fackenden Lane.

The proposed 50mph was abandoned and will not be part of this order.

This order was originally proposed as Amendment 35 but due to the Consolidation Order it has been Made as Amendment 6.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
