Extinguishment of Public Footpath ZR533 (part) Dunkirk

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to close part of Public Footpath ZR533 at Dunkirk.

Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway. The County Council is proposing to extinguish part of Public Footpath ZR533 on the basis that it is no longer needed for public use.

    On the 12 January 2022, Kent County Council confirmed the above order under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. This Order came into force on 12 January 2022.

    If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, they can make an application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the 11 February 2022.
