West Street, Sittingbourne in the Borough of Swale - Amendment 5: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Sittingbourne, Swale:-

West Street - (1) On the north side to extend the parking bay by 10 metres and shorten the existing DYL at a point 23 metres west of its junction with Dover Street. (2) On the north side to shorten the parking bay by 10 metres and install DYL with no loading/unloading restrictions from a point 75 metres west of its junction with Dover Street.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
