Waiting Restrictions on Various Roads, Canterbury in the District of Canterbury - Consolidation Order

Consultation has concluded

The effect of the made Order will be to consolidate all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking place provisions in all roads within the District Council of Canterbury as marked and signed on street; and also to present the provisions for all stopping, waiting and loading prohibitions and restrictions and parking places in a new Map-based Traffic Regulation Order without change to those provisions, as currently marked and signed on street.

Full details, including the scheme plan, can be found in the Public Notice and Statement for Reason document.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 25 December 2023, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
