Public Footpath ZR408 (Part), Selling - Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2019 - Confirmed

The Order has now come into force. 

Following postponement due to Covid restrictions a new date for the virtual hearing has been set.

Starting on Thursday 22 April, the Planning Inspectorate will host a virtual public hearing into the Order relating to the diversion of part of public footpath numbered ZR408, Selling. The related documents for the inquiry are in the Documents section. These are for information only and not open for responses.

The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered ZR408 which commences at NGR TR 0315 5582 (Point A on the Order plan) and runs in an east north easterly direction for 158 metres to NGR TR 0330 5585 (Point B on the Order plan).

    On the 20 May 2021 an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed with modifications the Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

    A copy of the confirmed Order and Notice can be found in the Documents section.

    Confirmation of this Order means that changes will be made to the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way as shown on the Order plan and described in the Schedule annexed to it.

    As the Order plan becomes the new Definitive Map for that path, please keep this Order with the relevant numbered Definitive Map Sheet if you have a copy.

    This Order was confirmed on 17 June 2021 and has now taken effect. If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, they can make an application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the 4 June 2021.
