Various Roads, Shoreham Village in the District of Sevenoaks - Amendment 7: Speed Limit

Consultation has concluded

The effect of this proposed Order would be to reduce the current speed limit from 30mph and introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following length of road in Shoreham, Sevenoaks:

  • Boakes Meadow, Bowers Road, Church Street, Crown Road, Forge Way, Mesne Way, Mildmay Place, Mill Lane and Palmers Orchard – For their entire length.
  • Filston Lane – From its junction with High Street for a distance of 150 metres in a southerly direction.
  • High Street - From its junction with Mill Lane to its junction with Filston Lane.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
