The effect of this made Order will be to reduce the current speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on the following lengths of roads in Cliffsend, Ramsgate, Thanet:

Foads Hill
Foads Lane

Mount Green Avenue
Moyes Close
Nicholas Drive
Oakland Court
Old Hall Drive
Primrose Way
Richardson Way

Sea View Road

  • Cliffs End Road - from its junction with Foads Lane to a point 17 Meters east of its junction with Meverall Avenue
  • Cottington Road - from its junction with Foads Lane to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Lavender Lane

Also to reduce the current speed limit to 40mph on Cottington Road from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Lavender Lane for a distance of 388 metres in a north westerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road run
