Various Roads, Manston in the District of Thanet - Amendment 8: Speed Limit

Consultation has concluded

The effect of this proposed Order would be to reduce the current national speed limit to 40mph on Manston Road, Manston, Thanet – from a point 20 metres west of its junction with Haine Road for a distance of 680 metres in a westerly direction. And reduce the current national speed limit to 20mph on Preston Road, Manston, Thanet – from its junction with Manston Road for a distance of 513 metres in a northerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • to avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
