Various Roads, Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 19: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-

  • Beverley Road – (1) on the east side of its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 12.5 metres in a southerly direction (2) on the west side of its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction
  • Heath Road – on both sides to a point 10 metres west and to a point 10 metres east of its junction with Beverley Road
  • Halfpenny Close – (1) on the east side of its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction (2) on the west side of its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 13.5 metres in a northerly direction
  • Tonbridge Road – (1) on the east side from its junction with Halfpenny Close for a distance of 76.5 metres in a north easterly direction (2) on the west side from its junction with Halfpenny Close for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
