Various Roads, Lamberhurst in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells - Amendment 5: Speed Limit

The effect of this proposed Order would be to replace the current speed limit with a 20mph speed zone in Lamberhurst, Tunbridge Wells on the following length of roads:-

  • Parsonage Lane – from its southern junction with School Hill for a distance of approx. 90 metres in a northerly direction
  • School Hill – from its southern junction with Parsonage Lane to its junction with The Broadway
  • Spray Hill – from its junction with High Street for a distance of 35 metres in a southerly direction
  • Town Hill – from its junction with High Street for a distance of 260 metres in a southerly direction
  • Brewer Street, High Street, Hopgarden Close, Morland Drive, Pearse Place and The Broadway - for their entire length.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
