Various roads in Tunbridge Wells - Amendment 4: Waiting restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads in Tunbridge Wells:

  • Barden Road
  • Cobhams
  • Ferbies
  • Langton Road

The following roads have since been removed from the Made order:

  • Campbell Road
  • Culverden Avenue

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 5 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 4 November 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
