Various Roads in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 22: Waiting Restrictions

Consultation has concluded

The effect of this proposed Order would be to implement double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Maidstone:-

  • Buckland Road – DYL - on the south west side remove the existing single yellow lines and parking bays and replace them with DYL from the northern boundary of 71 Buckland Road to a point in line with 4.5 metres south of its northern boundary with 49A Buckland Road
  • Manor Close - Bearsted – DYL - on both sides from its junction with Yeoman Lane for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction
  • The Landway - Bearsted – DYL - (1) on the southeast side from the current School Keep Clear lines at the entrance of Roseacre Junior School for a distance of 10 metres in a northeasterly direction and 10 metres in a southwesterly direction. (2) on the northwest side from the southern boundary of 67 The Landway for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction
  • Pudding Lane – on the east side outside Star House change the existing 24/7 Electric Taxi Recharging Point to 1 hour with no return within 2 hours
  • Yeoman Lane - Bearsted – DYL - from its junction with Manor Close on the east side for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and 10 metres in a southerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
