Various Roads, Hernhill, Minster and Hartlip in the Borough of Swale - Amendment 24: Waiting Restrictions
The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Hartlip, Hernhill, Minster on Sea and Sittingbourne, Swale:-
- Central Avenue – On the east side outside the Town Hall change the existing 24/7 Electric Taxi Recharging Point to 1 hour with no return within 2 hours
 - Hartlip Hill – On the south side from its junction with Lower Hartlip Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction and 15 metres in an easterly direction
 - Lower Hartlip Road – (1) On the west side from its junction with Hartlip Hill for a distance of 115 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Hartlip Hill for a distance of 81 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the east side from the southern boundary of its entrance to Gardening World Limited for a distance of 31 metres in a southerly direction
 - Noreen Avenue – On both sides from its junction with The Broadway for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction
 - Saxon Avenue – Remove the existing single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines on both sides from its junction with The Broadway for a distance of 14 metres in an easterly direction
 - Thanet Way – On both sides from its junction with Wey Street for a distance of 114 metres in a north easterly direction
 - The Broadway – (1) Remove the existing single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines on the east side from its junction with Saxon Avenue for a distance of 17 metres in a northerly direction and 23 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Noreen Avenue for a distance of 8 metres in a northerly direction and 19 metres in a southerly direction.
 
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
 - for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
 - for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
 
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
