Various Roads, Hawkinge in the District of Folkestone and Hythe - Amendment 27: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to place double yellow lines waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in Hawkinge in the District of Folkestone & Hythe:-

  • Aerodrome Road – (1) on the north side from its junction with Campbell Road to the existing bus stop clearway in an easterly direction for a distance of 177 metres (2) on the north side from its junction with Canterbury Road to the existing bus stop clearway for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction
  • Atkinson Road – (1) on the north side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west from its junction with Pannell Drive. (2) on the southwest side from a point 42 metres west of its junction with Page Road for a distance of 31 metres in a north westerly direction (3) on the northeast side from its junction with Page Road for a distance of 32 metres in a north westerly direction (4) on the southwest side from its junction with Page Road to the existing bus stop clearway for a distance of 13 metres in a north westerly direction
  • Campbell Road – on the southeast side from its junction with Aerodrome Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction
  • Canterbury Road - on the west side from its junction with Aerodrome Road for a distance of 9 metres in a northerly direction
  • Corbett Road – on the south side from its junction with Page Road for a distance of 11 metres in a south easterly direction
  • Page Road – (1) on the northwest side from its junction with Atkinson Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction (2) on the northwest side from its junction with Atkinson Road for a distance of 6 metres in a north easterly direction (3) on the southeast side from its junction with Corbett Road for a distance of 50 metres in a south westerly direction
  • Pannell Drive – on both sides from its junction with Atkinson Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
