Various Roads, Faversham in the Borough of Swale - Amendment 54: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to install waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads in Faversham in the Borough of Swale:-

  • East Street – from its junction with Preston Street for a distance of 16 metres in an easterly direction
  • Market Street – from its junction with Preston Street for a distance of 24 metres in a northwesterly direction
  • Preston Street – (1) on the west side for its junction with Market Street to its junction with Stone Street (2) on the east side from its junction with East Street for a distance of 40 metres in a southerly direction (3) on the east side from a point 109 metres from the junction with East Street for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction across the access to Gatefield Road (4) on the east side from a point in line with the northern kerbline of Stone Street for a distance of 34 metres in a northerly direction to join up with the existing lines. Single Yellow Lines - Every day 6am to 6pm (5) on the east side from a point 40 metres south of the junction with East Street for a distance of 69 metres in a southerly direction (6) on the east side from a point 115 metres south of the junction with East Street for a distance of 43 metres in a southerly direction.

This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic(including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
