Various roads, Farningham in Sevenoaks - Amendment 5: Speed limit order

The effect of this made Order will be to reduce the current speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on the following lengths of roads in Farningham, Sevenoaks:-

  • Dartford Road - from its junction with A20 London Road Roundabout to its junction with High Street.
  • High Street - from its junction with London Road to a point 7 metres west of its junction with Eynsford Road.
  • Hillside - for its entire length.
  • London Road - from its junction with A20 London Road to its junction with High Street.
  • Sparepenny Lane - from its junction with High Street for a distance of 110 metres in a southwesterly direction.

This order was originally consulted on as Amendment 32.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.
