Various Roads, East Peckham in the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling - Amendment 3: Speed Limit
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to implement a 30MPH and 40MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in East Peckham, Tonbridge & Malling:
- Branbridges Road – 30MPH – From its junction with Old Road for a distance of 466 metres in a southerly direction.
- Church Lane – 30MPH - From its junction with Hale Street for a distance of 240 metres in a westerly direction.
- Church Lane – 40MPH – From a point 240 metres west from its junction with Hale Street for a distance of 485 metres in a westerly direction.
- Hale Street - 30MPH – From a point 55 metres south of its junction with Seven Mile Lane for its entire length in a southerly direction.
- Hale Court, Medway Meadows, Pattenden Gardens, Smithers Lane – 30MPH - For their entire length.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
- For facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
- For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
