Various roads, Dover - Consolidation Order

Consultation has concluded

The effect of the made Order will be to consolidate all speed limit restrictions in the district of Dover, to present the location of the existing restrictions in a map schedule and to specify each type of restriction so presented in a map schedule legend.

The existing speed limit orders will be revoked and remade without any changes of substance under The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, Part IV Regulation 21 Consolidations and minor orders. The restriction locations in the District will be identified within a map schedule to the Order and the type of restrictions identified in the map schedule will be specified in a map schedule legend.

Full details, including the scheme plan, can be found in the Public Notice and Statement for Reason document.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 5 September 2022, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
