Various Roads, Bredhurst and Penenden Heath in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 7: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Bredhurst and Penenden Heath, Maidstone:-

  • Fir Tree Grove – (1) On its north side from its junction with Hurtswood Road for a distance of 21 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On the south side from its junction with Hurtswood Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south westerly direction
  • Hurtswood Road – (1) On the south west side from its junction with Fir Tree Grove to a point 20 metres south and to meet up with the existing lines in a north westerly direction
  • Erith Close – Both sides of its junction with Woodcut and Becksbourne Close for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction
  • Woodcut – (1) On the south west side from its junction with Erith Close for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On its north side from its junction with Becksbourne Close for a distance of 21 metres in a westerly direction
  • Becksbourne Close – (1) On west side from its junction with Woodcut for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the east side from a point 3 metres north of the rear boundary of 18 Barnhurst Road for a distance of 41 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the south side from its junction with Erith Close for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
