Various Roads, Bobbing in Swale - Amendment 9: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to install waiting restrictions (double yellow lines, waiting to be prohibited at any time) on the following lengths of road in Bobbing in the Borough of Swale:-

  1. Hill Farm View – on both sides from its junction with Keycoll Hill to its junction with Rook Lane.
  2. Robin Close – (1) on the south side from its junction with Hill Farm View for a distance of 13 meters in a westerly direction. (2) on the north side from its junction with Rook Lane for a distance of 10 meters in a westerly direction.
  3. Rook Lane – (1) on the east side from its junction with Hill Farm View for a distance of 35 metres in a northerly direction. (2) on the west side from its junction with Robin Close for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction.

This order was originally proposed as Amendment 43 but due to the recent consolidation order is has been renamed as above.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 16 December 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
