Traffic signs

The following signs are those that we propose to enforce across the county:

No right turn for vehicular traffic
Red circle with a black arrow pointing to the right. A red line strikes through the circle
No left turn for vehicular traffic
Red circle with a black arrow pointing to the left. A red line strikes through the circle
No U-turns for vehicular traffic
Black arrow pointing up then down crossed through with a red stripe on a white circular sign meaning no U-turn for vehicular traffic
Priority must be given to vehicles from the opposite direction
Small red arrow pointing up beside a large black arrow pointing down meaning priority must be given to vehicles from the opposite direction
Motor vehicles prohibited

Criss-cross yellow lines known as box junction markings meaning keep the junction clear for through traffic


Part of the carriageway outside an entrance where vehicles must not stop when the marking is placed in conjunction with the prescribed upright sign which includes the symbol at Schedule 4, Part 3, item 10
