FINAL UPDATE
The Academy Trust submitted a business case to the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to seek approval from the Secretary of State. This was granted and the SRP for HI was established at Canterbury Academy.
Following the consultation, The Board of Directors of Canterbury Academy Trust has considered all the responses and comments from the consultation and have agreed to proceed with the proposal.

The Canterbury Academy Trust in partnership with Kent County Council (KCC) would like to seek your views on the proposal to establish a Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP) at The Canterbury Academy Trust Campus. It is proposed to establish a SRP for 8 students with Hearing Impairment (HI).
The County Council is the strategic commissioner of education provision in Kent and has a duty to ensure that sufficient school places are available to meet demand. The Commissioning Plan for Education Provision in Kent 2021-25 sets out our commissioning intentions and is revised annually. A link to the plan can be found in the Important links section.
