Teston Road, Offham in the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling - Amendment 4: Speed Limit
Consultation has concluded
The effect of this proposed Order would be to implement a 20mph and 40mph speed limit on the following length of roads in Offham, Tonbridge & Malling:
- Church Road – 20mph - From its junction with Teston Road for a distance of 580 metres in a northerly direction.
- Comp Lane – 20mph – From its junction with Teston Road for a distance of 68 metres in a south westerly direction.
- North Meadow, Pepingstraw Close – 20mph – For their entire length.
- Teston Road – 20mph – (1) From a point 125 metres west of its junction with Barfield Gardens for a distance of 1184 metres in an easterly direction. 40mph – (2) From a point 204 metres east of its junction with Church Road for a distance of 415 metres in an easterly direction. (3) From a point 5 metres east of its junction with Aldon Lane for a distance of 733 metres in a westerly direction.
- Tower Hill – 20mph – From its junction with Teston Road for a distance of 332 metres in a southerly direction.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
