Tannery Lane, Ashford in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 2: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions (double yellow lines “no waiting at any time”) on Tannery Lane, Ashford – on the south side from a point 31 metres from its junction with Station Road removed 18 metres of double yellow lines in an easterly direction and replace with Time Limited Bays every day with a maximum stay of 15 mins and no return for 2 hours.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 11 March 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
