Sussex Road and The Street, Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 1: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Maidstone (double yellow lines, waiting to be prohibited at any time):-

  • Sussex Road - on the north side from its eastern boundary of 43 Sussex Road to the western boundary of 45 Sussex Road
  • The Street - (1) on the north west side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 33 metres in a north westerly direction (2) on the south west side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 27 metres in a north westerly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
