I have always been a member of the libraries, as a child I would choose books after school and read them with my mum and now I am a mum of two small children, it is a big part of our lives. Both children have regularly gone to rhyme times and love music and singing as a result and we read in the libraries together. My children use ipads or tablets at home because we borrow books from the library and read them at home instead and as a result they have amazing imaginations and love books and even 'read' them on their own before they are able to read as a way of chilling out. We were lost when the libraries shut over the pandemic, we were really stuck for an educational place in the high street. We are so happy they are open again with their wonderful books and friendly staff.
