Satellite of The Wyvern School at The Towers School and Sixth Form Centre, Ashford
Consultation has concluded
Wyvern School is a special school for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex Needs. The Governing Body of The Wyvern School, Ashford, are proposing to locate a satellite of the School at The Towers School and Sixth Form Centre from September 2021. Both the Governors of The Wyvern School and the Governors and Trustees of The Towers School and Sixth Form Centre are keen to hear your views on the proposal.
‘Satellite provisions’ have been developed across the County. These are small bases in mainstream schools which provide a dedicated space for a special school to operate from, enabling them to support some of their pupils, where appropriate, in a mainstream environment. The Wyvern School already has a very successful primary school satellite at Great Chart Primary School, Ashford. The satellite at The Towers School and Sixth Form Centre will be for up to 24 children.
The consultation document explains the proposal and how you can submit your views. A response form is included both in the consultation document and in the document section on this page.
The closing date for responses to the Schools is Friday 11 June at 12 noon.
