Ramsgate Road, Margate in the District of Thanet - Amendment 6: Speed Limit Order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to reduce the current 40mph speed limit to 30mph on Ramsgate Road in Margate, Thanet - from a point 31 metres north of its junction with Chapel Hill Close for a distance of 220 metres in a north westerly direction to the existing 30 speed limit.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
