Queens Road etc, Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone - Amendment 17: Waiting Restrictions
The effect of this proposed Order would be to implement double yellow lines on the following lengths of roads in Maidstone:-
Church Street – On the east side at its junction with Church Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.
Church Road – (1) On the north side at its junction with Church Street for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction (2) On the north side place a Bus Stop Clearway outside 74 Church Road. (3) On the south side Single Yellow Line No Stopping 7am to 7pm from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Church Street for a distance of 177 metres in an easterly direction which includes a bus stop clearway.
Queen's Road – (1) On the west side at is junction with Tarragon Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and for a distance of 45 metres in a southerly direction (2) On the east side at its junction with West Walk for a distance of 45 metres in a northerly direction and for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
Tarragon Road – On both sides at its junction with Queen’s Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
West Walk – On both sides at its junction with Queen’s Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.
Wharf Road – On both sides at its junction with Lower Tovil for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.
This order is proposed for the following reasons:
for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
