Plan Tree: Kent County Council's Tree Establishment Strategy 2022-2032
Update 5 September 2022
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in this consultation.
The Consultation Report, which summarises the feedback to the consultation and provides details of how the findings of the consultation have helped finalise the Strategy is available to download from the 'Documents' section on this page.
We want to hear your feedback on our proposed Tree Establishment Strategy for the county, which includes targets for increased trees and extended tree canopy cover and the principles that should underpin any tree establishment.
The Strategy also outlines what objectives we want to deliver by extending tree cover in Kent and delivering Plan Tree. We have set out what action we will take over the next 10 years to realise these ambitions and objectives.
Have your say!
We need your views to help ensure that we have set a suitably ambitious but achievable Strategy. We want a Strategy that results in woodlands and trees that are thriving with biodiversity and delivering services to help us to tackle the climate and ecological emergencies facing our county.
Please read the draft Strategy and complete our questionnaire to let us know what you think.
Following the end of the consultation we will produce a consultation report, summarising the feedback we have received. This feedback will be used to help finalise the Strategy, which alongside the consultation report will be presented to theCabinet Member for Environment before it is agreed, finalised and presented to the Council for adoption.
