Public Footpath MR614 (part) at Ightham Public Path Diversion Order 2024

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to divert part of Public Footpath MR614 at Ightham.

Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is in the interests of the landowner and/or the public to do so. In considering a proposal, the County Council will have regards to whether the new route is substantially less convenient to the public and the impact of the proposed diversion on the public enjoyment of the route as a whole.

An objection has been received to this Order which has not been withdrawn. Therefore, the County Council has submitted the Order, the objection and all other relevant documents to the Secretary of State.
