Lanthorne Road, Broadstairs in the District of Thanet - Amendment 6: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Broadstairs in the District of Thanet - double yellow lines waiting to be prohibited at any time:-

  • Bishops Avenue – on the south side from the junction with Kings Avenue for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction
  • Kings Avenue – (1) on the east side from the junction with Bishops Avenue for a distance of 40 metres in a southerly direction (2) on the west side to a point 25 metres north and to a point 12 metres south of the junction with Kings Close (3) on the west side remove the school keep clear markings
  • Kings Close – (1) on both sides of the junction with Kings Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction (2) on both sides of the junction with Lanthorne Road for a distance of 10 meters in a southerly direction
  • Lanthorne Road – (1) on the south side to a point 43 metres west and to a point 51 metres east of the junction with Lanthorne Court (2) on the south side to remove the school keep clear markings
  • Lanthorne Place – on both sides of its junction with Lanthorne Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

  • Lanthorne Road – (1) on the south side to a point 43 metres west and to a point 51 metres east of the junction with Lanthorne Court (2) on the south side to remove the school keep clear markings
  • Lanthorne Place – on both sides of its junction with Lanthorne Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.
