Public Footpath KM43 (Part), East Farleigh, Public Path Diversion Order and Public Footpath KM42 (Part) East Farleigh) Public Path Extinguishment Order 2022

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made Orders, to divert part of Public Footpath KM43, and extinguish part of Public Footpath KM42 at East Farleigh.

Under the Highways Act 1980, an Order may be made to divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is in the interests of the landowner and/or the public to do so. In considering a proposal, the County Council will have regards to whether the new route is substantially less convenient to the public and the impact of the proposed diversion on the public enjoyment of the route as a whole.

An order can be made to extinguish a footpath (or part) where it is not needed for public use.

Further details about the application and a plan showing the proposal can be found by viewing "KM43 KM42 2022 Order Documents " in the Documents section.
