Public Footpath KH505 (Part), Sutton Valence Definitive Map Modification Order 2026

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has investigate, and subsequently refused to make an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map and Statement, by recording a Public Footpath KH505 running between Headcorn Road and a field boundary at Sutton Valence.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council must make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist.

Further details about the investigation and a plan showing the proposal can be found by viewing in the Documents section.

The deadline for responses is 16 February 2026, although please note only the applicant has the right to appeal.
