Improving transport links between Abbey Wood and Ebbsfleet
A second public consultation by the C2E Partnership, which includes Kent County Council, and is supported by funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government launched on Thursday 22 July.
The consultation is seeking views on a short-list of options including extending Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) services from Abbey Wood into Kent, improving the National Rail service, and improving bus services by building on the existing Fastrack network in Kent.
These options are being considered as they could improve transport connectivity between Abbey Wood to Ebbsfleet to support new housing and employment growth along the corridor.
The first consultation ran in winter of 2021.
The responses people provide as part of this new consultation will assist the C2E Partnership in finalising its assessment of the options that are being consulted. The C2E Partnership will then aim to submit a business case to Government later this year to demonstrate why further investment should be forthcoming to support development and delivery of transport improvements in North Kent.
Visit the consultation website from the 22 July to find out more, including details of the options and the results of the first consultation.
