Hunter Avenue and Twelve Acres, Willesborough in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 12: Waiting Restrictions

The effect of this made Order willl be to introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in Willesborough in the Borough of Ashford:

  • Hunter Avenue – (1) on the west side join up the existing yellow lines from the junction with Adams Drive for a distance of 35 metres in a northerly direction (2) on the east side between points 10 metres north and 10 metres south of its junction with Twelve Acres
  • Twelve Acres – on both sides from its junction with Hunter Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians)
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 9 December 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
