The effect of this made Order will be to prevent any goods vehicles with a maximum permissible laden weight of which exceeds 7.5 tonne to proceed on Highcross Road, Southfleet, for its entire length.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • for preventing damage to the road or to any building on or near the road.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
