Hermitage Lane, Aylesford in Tonbridge and Malling - Prohibition of traffic movements

The effect of this proposed Order would be to introduce a right and left-hand turn ban movements (except cycles) on the following lengths of road in Aylesford: -
- Hermitage Lane (B2246) – Prohibition of right hand turn into Hermitage Lane side road.
- Hermitage Lane (side road leading to 149/150 Hermitage Lane) – Prohibition of right hand turn into Hermitage Lane (B2246).
This order is being made for the following reasons:
- for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
- for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
- for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
