Hermitage Lane, Aylesford in Tonbridge and Malling - Amendment 51: Speed limit order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to change the 40mph speed limit to 30mph on Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, from a point 23 metres south of its junction with Chapelfield Way to its southern junction with the entrance into Barming Station car park.

This order is being made for the following reasons:

  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.
  • to avoid the danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
