Public Footpath HB88 and HB89, Hythe Definitive Map Modification Order 2026

Kent County Council has received an application, and subsequently made an Order, to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map and Statement, by recording a public footpath numbered HB88 between Public Footpath HB58 to Portland Road, and Portland Road to Public Footpath HB61, and a public footpath numbered HB89 between Public Footpath HB89 and HB59, at Hythe.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council must make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is not shown on the map is reasonably alleged to subsist.
