Five Oak Green Road in Tunbridge Wells - Amendment 1: Waiting restrictions order

The effect of this made Order will be to introduce additional double yellow lines on Five Oak Green Road on the south side extended the existing lines from a point 22 metres east of its junction with Tudeley Lane and for a distance of 21 metres in an easterly direction joining up both set of lines and also reducing the existing lines by 6 metres.

This Order was proposed as Amendment 3 but due to the new Consolidation Order it has been made as Amendment 1.

This order has been made for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
  • for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

    Following the statutory consultation period, the scheme has been reviewed and the decision has been taken to make this Order permanent.

    Anyone may, by application to the High Court by 16 September 2024, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
