Faversham Road, Charing in the Borough of Ashford - Amendment 20: Speed Limit Order

The effect of this proposed Order would be to reduce the existing national speed limit and extend the existing 40mph speed limit on Faversham Road in Charing, Ashford – from the existing 40mph speed limit by Monkery Bottom for a distance of 714 metres in a north easterly direction.

This order is proposed for the following reasons:

  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
  • for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.

The scheme will be reviewed so that the Council can make the decision to make the Order permanent, amend or abandon it.
