Kent County Council has received an application (on behalf of the local planning authority), and subsequently made an Order, to close part of Public Footpath ER63 and divert part of Public Footpath ER71 at Whitfield

Under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, an Order may be made to close or divert a Public Footpath, Bridleway or Restricted Byway where it is necessary to do so to enable development to take place.

    On 15 December 2023 certification was given that the terms of Article 2 of the Order requiring works to be carried out had been complied with, thereby enabling the Order to come into force

  • 23 July 2021

    This Order was confirmed on 24 June 2021 and will take effect once the new route is certified. If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, they can make an application to the High Court within 6 weeks from 23 July 2021
