Bridleway EE427 at Ripple and Sutton - Definitive Map Modification Order 2021

Consultation has concluded

Kent County Council has been directed by the Planning Inspectorate (following a successful appeal against the County Council's original decision to decline the application) to make an Order to amend the legal record of Public Rights of Way, known as the Definitive Map, by upgrading Public Footpath EE427 at Ripple and Sutton to Bridleway status.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the County Council may make an Order to modify the Definitive Map where it is considered that a public right of way which is shown on the map ought to be shown at a different status.

In this case, a Definitive Map Modification Order has been made to upgrade the route subject to the application to Bridleway status. Following advertisement of the Order, one objections has been received and therefore, as required, the matter has been referred to the Planning Inspectorate for determination.

Normally, documents relating to the submission and any subsequent correspondence would be available for public inspection at the County Council's offices but, given the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19, they will appear on this webpage instead.
